The Managing Director will lead and grow the portfolio across the Middle East. The candidate will be a talented commercial and people leader who can lead and develop the established products and teams, as well as new event and product launches within the region. They will have a proven track record in leading multidisciplinary teams and growing and scaling a business with full P&L responsibility.

Ensuring the events within the region deliver to agreed revenue and cost targets and driving high performance teams to source new organic growth opportunities is key. In addition, they will be required to nurture essential industry relationships including key accounts, embassies, government bodies, industry associations and media.

The role requires the candidate to spend a significant amount of time meeting with key stakeholders across the market sector to strengthen relationships, enhance our core brand offerings and identifying new business opportunities and partnerships.

Stakeholder Management

  • Focused and diligent leadership of events will require careful stakeholder management, both internally, externally and at government and corporate levels.

  • Strategic internal communication within the business unit and at global Group level, which will communicate the highest priority strategic initiatives in a way that maintains high engagement levels.

    Speaker & Delegate development

  • Consistently build a comprehensive network of go to industry experts including conference chairs,

  • Liaise and network with speakers, exhibitors and delegates on-site, in order to maintain customer service standards, ensuring your products remain relevant and on topic

  • Assist with onsite duties as required for the duration of the event, which may require longer working hours
