2. JOB PURPOSE / ROLE:

To be Responsible for planning, development and implementation of all of the SIMAH’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. Oversees development and implementation of support material &services for chapters in the area of marketing & communications. Directs the efforts of the marketing, communications and public relations staff and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of SIMAH.

Strategy
 
  • Develops Communications & Marketing strategy in line with the overall strategy of SIMAH and ensures vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing functions, to support marketing & Communications expansion and improvement of SIMAH’s corporate image
Policies, Processes & Procedures
 
  • Directs the development and oversees the implementation of department’s policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of Communications & Marketing  activities so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers
  • Monitors all the activities of the departments and ensures that these are executed according to the standards and processes of SIMAH

Budget
 
  • Develops and recommends the budget of the Communications & Marketing  ensuring that the required financial resources are calculated and projected so as to enable the execution of the department’s strategic activities
  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s Communications & Marketing  goals, and ensures execution
  • Sets the objectives and targets for the Communications & Marketing, and marketing activities ensuring that they are challenging yet achievable and support the achievement of SIMAH’s corporate objectives
  • Monitors and assess the performance of the department against set budget and targets, so as to identify unsatisfactory performance and opportunities of cost reduction or performance improvement
Communications & Marketing
  • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of; a comprehensive marketing, communications and program that will enhance the Organization’s image and position within the marketplace and the general public, and facilitate internal and external communications; and, all Organization marketing & communications activities and materials including publications, media relations, client acquisition and so forth
  • Ensures the coordination and cooperation of all parties within SIMAH, e.g. Operations, IT, Legal Shared Services etc., for the fast and accurate management of client requests for communication.
  • Ensures articulation of Organization’s desired image and position, assure consistent communication of image and position throughout the Organization, both internal and external.
  • Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  • Coordinate media interest in the Organization and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
  • Act as the Organization’s representative with the media.
Communications& Marketing Management
  • Ensure effective management within the marketing & communications function, with provision for succession.
  • Design, support and oversee cross-functional teams throughout the Organization.
Corporate Communication
  • Build the content library for SIMAH’s offerings, and up to date content to be communicated internally and externally, and track the performance of the content continuously, to assure content is being enhanced on the go, managing the brand image and relation with media, to assure extra exposure and support is given to campaigns planned by marketing team.
Marketing and Awareness
  • Build required plans for each product/service, educational content and assure an effective execution plan is taken a place across new media, and traditional media, and managing third party creative and paid media agency whenever needed to achieve the business objectives.
Marketing Research & Innovation
  • Direct the Monitoring and analysing the products/services performance, benchmarking and tracking moves done by similar entities, in addition managing the research agency and activating the insights gathered by building brand health index to measure the department performance and entity as whole, in terms of awareness, and perception, in addition writing white papers that enriches the financial sector market. Moreover, bringing innovative ideas for the sector.
Advertisement
  • Directs the development of specific marketing to targeted client segments in order to increase their impact and efficiency on the increase of sales and the improvement of corporate image
  • Ensures that all products and services of SIMAH are supported by the required marketing material, promotion activities and material for the improvement of sales growth and the market expansion of all SIMAH services and products
  • Oversees the planning and execution of all SIMAH marketing activities and events, in order to improve sales growth
  • Arranging the Campaigns plan developing and managing to increase the awareness of SIMAH’s products externally, and cooperate closely with the Business Development to assure enhancing the market expansion.
  • Oversee the proposed techniques that will increase the impact of the promotion activities and support the achievement of the sales objectives.

Event Management
  • Oversee the analyse and detail all the requirements for events, sponsorship and representation under the marketing plan in order to increase marketing & communications impact
  • Ensure proceeding the development of the event management plan that will enable the promotion of SIMAH’s objectives and image
Information Security/Cyber Security / BCM/Privacy
  • Implementation of and compliance with the cybersecurity/privacy/ Business Continuity requirements as per SIMAH’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that standards, processes and procedures of your department reflect Security/privacy/ Business Continuity requirements (if applicable).
  • Ensure that individuals within your department accept and comply with the Cyber Security/Privacy/ Business Continuity policy, supporting standards and procedures when they are issued and updated.
  • Coordinate with Risk Department to identify and report cyber security and privacy risks and vulnerabilities, availability and continuity risks in IT systems
  • Immediately report cyber security and privacy incidents to Risk Department (Information Security unit).
  • Coordinate with Risk Department to effectively and efficiency implement agreed on security, privacy and availability controls
  • Coordinate with Risk Department to review cyber security, privacy and Continuity controls of third-party service providers for your department
  • Ensure continuity of critical activities and systems that is related to your department.
  • Ensure that all subordinate employees are communicated and aware about the Information and Cyber Security Policies/Privacy Policy/ Business Continuity policy distributed based on “Need to Know and/or Need to do basis”.
People Management
  • Chief Corporate Communications & Marketing Officer is directly responsible for leading managers of the division and indirectly responsible for all employees within the division.
Continuous Improvement 
 
  • Oversees the overall Communications & Marketing activities within SIMAH and continuing the progress within the department.
  • Assess periodically the Subordinates relation processes and ensure the complete processes. 
Leadership
  • Manages the effective achievement of Communications & Marketing objectives through the leadership of the function – setting individual objectives, recruiting qualified staff, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximise subordinate and division performance
Change Management
 
  • Leads and directs the management of change through continuous improvement of the function’s systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘leading practices’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans
Reporting
 
  • Ensures that all reports required from SIMAH management are prepared timely and accurately and meet company and function’s requirements, policies and standards
Safety, Quality & Environment
 
  • Ensures the compliance of the function to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies and procedures in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude

5. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business Administration, journalism, public relation preferred or related field.
  • Post-graduate qualification or MBA

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum 13 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or public relation.

 Language:

  • Arabic & English: Advanced

6. Soft skills & Technical Knowledge areas:
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities.
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills.
  • Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media.
  • Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
  • Computer literacy in word processing, data base management and page layout.
  • Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
