The Opportunity

A leading international law firm is seeking a Finance Associate to join its highly regarded Banking & Finance team in Dubai.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of domestic and cross-border finance transactions across the GCC, advising a diverse client base including financial institutions, private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds and multinational corporates.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to complex, high-value transactions across sectors including real estate, infrastructure, energy, financial services and industrials.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising on a broad range of banking and finance matters, including leveraged finance, acquisition finance, real estate finance and corporate lending

• Supporting transactions throughout the full lifecycle, from structuring and documentation through to execution and completion

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating finance documentation and transaction documents

• Conducting due diligence and assisting with transaction structuring

• Advising lenders, borrowers, sponsors and corporate clients on financing arrangements

• Working closely with colleagues across multiple practice areas to deliver integrated legal solutions

• Managing client relationships and supporting business development initiatives

• Assisting on restructuring and refinancing matters where required

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience

• Strong banking and finance experience gained within a reputable international or regional law firm

• Experience advising on domestic and cross-border financing transactions

• Exposure to leveraged finance, acquisition finance, real estate finance or general lending transactions

• Restructuring experience would be advantageous

• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills

• Strong commercial awareness and client management capabilities

• Ability to manage multiple transactions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities
• Advising clients on a broad range of contentious construction and engineering matters
• Managing litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution proceedings
• Drafting pleadings, submissions, witness statements and other legal documentation
• Developing case strategies and supporting clients through all stages of disputes
• Conducting legal research and providing commercially focused advice

Requirements
