The Opportunity
A leading international law firm is seeking a Contentious Construction Associate to join its growing Construction & Engineering practice in Dubai.
The team advises on some of the region’s most significant construction and infrastructure projects, acting for developers, employers, contractors, subcontractors, funders and consultants across a range of sectors including real estate, transport, energy, utilities and healthcare.
This is an excellent opportunity for a construction disputes lawyer looking to work on high-value, complex matters across the Middle East within a highly regarded and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
• Advising clients on a broad range of contentious construction and engineering matters
• Managing litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution proceedings
• Drafting pleadings, submissions, witness statements and other legal documentation
• Developing case strategies and supporting clients through all stages of disputes
• Conducting legal research and providing commercially focused advice
• Liaising with clients, experts, counsel and witnesses throughout proceedings
• Supporting major construction and infrastructure projects across the GCC
• Working closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex, high-profile matters
Requirements
• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience
• Strong background in contentious construction law gained within a reputable law firm
• Experience handling construction disputes, arbitration and/or litigation matters
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively within a fast-paced environment
• Commercially minded with a strong client-service focus
• Proactive, driven and keen to contribute to a growing practice
