Position: Executive Director-Fixed Income

Salary: AED 55,000 – 60,000 per month 

 Nationality: UAE Nationals with Family Book.  

Location: Dubai, 

Job Purpose:
The Executive Director – Fixed Income (ED FI) plays a critical role in implementing and managing the firm’s fixed income investment activities in alignment with the strategy and asset allocation framework established by the Group Chief Investment Officer (GCIO).
The ED FI is responsible for the management of a shariah compliant Fixed Income portfolio across sovereign and corporate credit, and other debt instruments, ensuring adherence to the firm’s investment philosophy, macroeconomic outlook, and institutional objectives. The role also encompasses the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of Direct Investment opportunities such as Private Credit.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, including risk management, compliance, and operations, the ED FI ensures that all investments are executed with precision, discipline, and in line with regulatory and governance requirements. The role involves managing relationships with external managers, investment banks, counterparties, and co-investment partners to support effective transaction execution and portfolio implementation.
The ED FI also contributes to fixed income portfolio monitoring, performance reporting, and risk oversight, ensuring that investments continue to meet return objectives and risk parameters over time.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Strategic Execution
 

  • Implement the firm’s Fixed Income Investments strategy based on the GCIO’s direction, reflecting macroeconomic analysis, interest rate expectations, and credit market dynamics.
  • Ensure that fixed income portfolio construction and implementation are consistent with the firm’s broader investment objectives, risk appetite, and asset allocation framework.
  • Continuously assess and adapt investment positioning across fixed income and credit markets in response to evolving global and regional market developments, including monetary policy shifts and geopolitical risks.

Portfolio Management and Monitoring
 

  • This function entails full responsibility for day-to-day management of all Fixed income portfolios). It requires disciplined portfolio construction, active monitoring of performance and risk, and oversight of all investment decisions within the fixed income universe.
  • Manage fixed income portfolios across sovereign bonds, corporate credit, and structured products, ensuring strong performance, diversification, and adherence to investment guidelines.
  • Oversee all elements of credit selection, trade execution, and risk management within the fixed income asset class.
  • Maintain close watch on interest rate positioning, sector exposures, curve strategies, and credit quality, adjusting portfolios proactively in response to market signals.
  • Ensure that all investment decisions are underpinned by thorough research, robust due diligence, and clear risk-reward frameworks.
  • Monitor portfolio performance against internal benchmarks and strategic targets; identify and investigate any performance deviations.
  • Maintain a consistent investment process supported by internal documentation, investment memos, and compliance with pre-trade and post-trade controls.

Reporting

The role involves structured, high-quality communication with the GCIO through regular and ad hoc reporting, focused on transparency, performance attribution, and forward-looking views.

  • Produce periodic reports on Fixed Income performance, market trends, strategy shifts, and risk exposures for review by the GCIO.
  • Prepare investment committee materials, credit notes, and market outlook presentations as required
  • Ensure clear, concise, and timely reporting of investment decisions and their rationale to support internal governance and oversight.
  • Coordinate with risk, compliance, and operations teams to ensure reporting reflects accurate positions, exposures, and valuations.

Relationship & Networking

This role requires both internal and external engagement, in the context of deal origination and credit market insights.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external market participants, including banks, brokers, issuers, research providers, and credit rating agencies.
  • Leverage a well-established network in the UAE and GCC to originate deals and gain access to proprietary credit investment opportunities.
  • Build strategic partnerships with sponsors, local businesses, and financial advisors to strengthen pipeline access in the GCC.
  • Maintain strong internal collaboration with legal, compliance, operations, and risk to ensure fixed income investment execution is smooth and well-coordinated.

General

In addition to the core functional responsibilities, this role includes broader governance, and professional obligations critical to the integrity and performance of the Fixed Income investment function.

  • Uphold and promote a high standard of ethics, diligence, and fiduciary responsibility in all investment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, regulatory requirements, and investment committee protocols.
  • Mentor junior members of the fixed income team, fostering a culture of analytical excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to internal process improvements, including investment evaluation tools, data systems, and decision-making frameworks.
  • Participate in internal discussions on investment governance, audit processes, and internal control enhancements.
  • Demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and alignment with the firm’s values in all external and internal interactions.
