About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP ABAP & CPI Consultant to join a growing technology team in Dubai. This is an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and optimisation of an SAP S/4HANA environment, with a particular focus on modern ABAP development, cloud integration and SAP Clean Core principles.

The successful candidate will combine strong hands-on SAP ABAP development skills with practical experience in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). You will play an important role in modernising integrations, improving custom developments and supporting the evolution of a cloud-based SAP landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimise SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements and forms.

• Design and support SAP CPI integration flows, including integrations involving legacy SAP PI/PO environments.

• Review and refactor custom developments in line with SAP Clean Core principles.

• Support SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives and BTP-based extensions.

• Develop and troubleshoot API-based integrations using OData, REST and SOAP.

• Perform debugging, root cause analysis and performance optimisation.

• Collaborate with functional, Basis, security and wider technical teams.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of SAP ABAP development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP CPI / Integration Suite and SAP BTP.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation or migration projects.

• Good understanding of SAP Clean Core principles and modern extensibility approaches.

• Experience with API Management, OData, REST and SOAP integrations.

• Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 and contemporary development practices.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience with Git, CI/CD, ATC, SAP Event Mesh, SAP Basis, SAP Security or AI-assisted development tools would be advantageous.
