The Opportunity

An innovative AI technology company is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer with strong cybersecurity expertise to help build and secure its next-generation AI platform.

This is an individual contributor role combining software development, cloud-native infrastructure and security engineering. You will work closely with AI and engineering specialists to integrate advanced machine learning capabilities into production applications while ensuring the underlying systems are scalable, resilient and secure.

The successful candidate will have experience building and operating production software, managing cloud infrastructure and implementing security controls across applications, deployment pipelines and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain production software, particularly cloud-native applications and distributed systems.

• Build and operate infrastructure across cloud and hybrid environments, including AWS, Azure or GCP.

• Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code solutions and deployment workflows.

• Implement security controls covering identity and access management, secrets management, encryption and network security.

• Secure cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including servers and GPU computing environments.

• Implement monitoring, logging, vulnerability management and incident response capabilities.

• Integrate automated security scanning and secure coding practices into development workflows.

• Collaborate with AI engineers to deploy and protect AI-powered applications and services.

• Support technical compliance requirements, including ISO 27001, SOC 2 and GDPR.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on software engineering experience, ideally with Python, Go or similar programming languages.

• Experience designing and operating cloud-native infrastructure and production systems.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, and modern CI/CD practices.

• Practical cybersecurity experience spanning application security, cloud security and infrastructure hardening.

• Understanding of identity and access management, zero-trust networking, encryption and secrets management.

• Experience with observability, automated security testing and secure deployment practices.

• Ability to take ownership of technical challenges and work effectively across software engineering, infrastructure and AI teams.

Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms, AI security, GPU infrastructure and regulatory compliance frameworks would be advantageous.
